Vesa acquires a share in the British Royal Mail

Vesa Equity Investment S.à.r.l. (Vesa) announces the acquisition of a 5,35% share in the British company Royal Mail, becoming its third most powerful shareholder. Royal Mail, employing 162 thousand people, is a company with more than 500-year-long history specialized mainly in transportation of mail.

Vesa is owned by two investors Patrik Tkáč (47%) and Daniel Křetínský (53%) who also exercises control over the company. In September 2019, Vesa became a significant shareholder in Casino Guichard-Perrachon SA.
